KOH * Mojofly
2005-May-14, Saturday 09:52Watched Kingdom of Heaven last May 4, Wednesday, with my mom and sister. Of course, I love the film! Why wouldn't I! It's with Orlando Bloom. The love of my life. hehehe... Well, I really like the film aside from having OB as the lead actor. I always have a thing for knight-themed films so KOH is one film that I really won't dare miss. My mom and I watched it twice during the 1st showing day. We ended up spending our almost 5 1/2 hours inside the theater, that we were hurrying up to do our grocery and go home. hehe... Ohwell, I watched it again with Marie last Tuesday, May 10. The serious atmosphere became hilarious with her side remarks about King Baldwin's mask patterned after Elvis and Salahadin's Osama Bin Laden look-alike. I'm glad she also like the film even she's not really a big fan of OB, I mean as much as she is a fan of Zaizai.

EB for KOH was scheduled earlier today. Well, Gill wasn't able to come so it was just me, Marie, Ate My, Maku, Ryll, and Ruby who meet up at Sbarro. I was supposed to watch the film with Maku, Ryll, and Ruby since Ate My has to go home right away because of her kids and Marie has to go to ATC for a Mojofly gig since she hasn't been to their gig in a long time. Screening was at 2pm and it would make me go home late for the mass. (My family always go to mass together.) I decided not to watch the film and opted to go with Marie to watch Mojofly at ATC since my cousin's so into their new drummer, Ali Alejandro (son of Hadji and Rio). We got there ahead of time. I was gonna buy their EP so Marie text their manager. I bought one for my cousin at first but decided to bought another one for myself. We had it signed by LouG first, before the show started, then Ricci and Ali afterwards. It was the first local band I watched performed live in about 5years. I really haven't been to any local gigs in a long time. I'm not really a big fan of Mojofly but I like their songs long before when Kitchie Nadal was still their vocalist. They sung about 8 songs - Marie, kindly check - Another Day as the opening song. It's an old song of Mojofly and I'm glad they played it since it's what i liked most in their 1st album, I think. They also sung Crazy for You which reminded me and Marie of Chrissie. They ended up the almost 1-hour show with Mata. It's a really good song and I really like it. LouG's got a really good voice, really good doing live. Ricci, their bassist, was just so thin but full of energies. He even smiled at Marie at one point of the show. Ali was so serious hitting the drums that I can't remember ever seeing him smile even for once. Their manager, I forgot her name, is so nice. Well, I kinda have this picture of managers being uptight and strict.

I really had a long day today. I even stood under the sun for almost 45-min, waiting for an air conditioned bus just to get my butt to Megamall for OB. It's just so exhausting and draining since it's frickin' hot in Pinas!! whew!!
