Christmas 2005
2005-Dec-25, Sunday 03:00Tiring day but really fun.
Woke up at around 10am to do last minute shopping for the Noche Buena in the evening. Cooked Carbonara, Spaghetti and Lumpiang Shanghai from 230pm till 930pm without any rest at all. My legs were already hurting during the Christmas Eve mass because I still have to endure another hour and a half of standing. I was really dead tired after cooking 2 pasta dishes and lumpia, not to mention cooking the chicken as well and preparing the utensils for the occasion. Although my cousins Mig and Kaye were a really big help, cooking all these dishes alone just took away all my energy. My ankles were to give up on me already if I'm to stand for another 30-minutes.
We had our Noche Buena feast at around 1145pm, even before the clock strikes 12. By 1230am, we had our yearly exchange gift.... Je -> Jerick -> Jeff -> Adam -> Amy -> Jeigh -> Mommy -> Je ... Since this year two of our cousins stayed with us, my brother, sister and I decided to buy extra gifts for them, aside from the small gifts we already prepared for our cousins. I was really glad that they had fun and that they're planning to stay again with us for the holidays next year. Mom gave me what's in my wish list, Parokya ni Edgar's KhangKhungKherrNitz and Buruguduystunstugudunstuy, thought it's over our limit price.
Christmas Day officially started. My brother, Jerick, had his power nap and we did a few rounds of videoke while he finished 4 bottles of San Mig Light. My other brother, Jeff, had 1 and the other bottle was shared by our two cousins. I didn't drink anything. I just don't feel like drinking anymore. We were gonna watch The Grudge after videoke but Jerick gave in already and slept so I decided to shut it out and replaced it with a different dvd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory since Mig hasn't seen it. Jeff and Kaye also slept and Jeigh did right after we started singing. Mom slept early as well since she lacked sleep due to previous gimmicks with her former students. Mig and I slept at around 630am already.
Note: I'm still uploading the pictures. Work's making me tired all the time so I didn't get the time to upload them right away. Plus, I really have a slow internet connection.
