eclipse

there was a partial solar eclipse yesterday.
i saw it!
i went at the back of our house to look for the sun since that's the west
and i saw it.
about a quarter of the moon's covering the sun.
unlike in the other places in my country,
the sun was so bright yesterday on my side; 
no clouds covering it or anything of the like.
luckily, i found some old negatives to use to look at the sun.
it took my eyes a few seconds to adjust to the brightness of the sun,
and to see the event as it occurs.
'twas beautiful.
like a magic.
if only i have a really powerful telescope/camera,
i would've captured it.
though some would associate this phenomenon with unlucky events,
i think otherwise.
this is nothing but a natural occurrence that has nothing to do with unfortunate events
i hope people would stop this way of thinking.
it's so ancient.
