i finished Hunted, book 5 of House of Night Series, last night. book 6, Tempted, won't be out until Oct. 27. *sigh*
i really would like to post a review or something but i'm not really good with that. if you like reading vampire-theme stories/books, i'm sure you'd like the plot of the series. you may, at one point, be very pissed-off at the heroine Z, but later on you'll realize that despite of being a special fledgling with affinities for all 5-elements, she is also but a teen-age human girl. importance of friends is very much given emphasis all throughout -trusting them, believing in them, letting them help you carry the burden being placed on your shoulder. it's not just about drooling over the vampire/s or being a human in love with a vampire and the complications that go with it. it's more of the story of a girl who struggle to be what she is destined to be. her road isn't going to be smooth or anything near it but what's important is what she learned along the way. i also like the combination of believing in the powers of something pagan, religious and beyond those two. everything's given importance - wind, fire, water, earth and spirit.
i'm sure that once you started reading it, you'll get hooked. you'll get hook in such that you'll be more and more curious about what's gonna happen not only with the heroine, but also with the people surrounding her.
