je12_vz09 / Zai's bday celebration

jump packed weekend! went to a charity event sponsored by VicPower-Philippines in relation to ZaiZai's 24th Birthday last June 9. it was held at the SOS (Save our Souls) Children's Village-Ph in Ayala Alabang Village with Marie and Ate My. i haven't been to any charity event for so long that it was a really nice experience to be able to go there. well, it's really near where i live and where i hang out and it's so embarrassing that if not for Zai's bday, i won't be able to go there. the village was set up like a small community with several houses where the kids/youths are staying as siblings with a host mother. the kid that was assigned to me was an 8-year old boy who has 3 siblings who are also staying with him at the village in the same house. his mom is working in Taiwan (coincidence) as an electrician. whenever his mom is in the country, she would visit them and spends time with them. he's actually a sweet boy. when his name was called to be my brother of the day, he immediately went to me and grab my hand and led me to a chair to sit. he's in the 3rd grade and he said that he wants to transfer school since he's been with his present school since he was in nursery. we went to their house for awhile to get one of his toy. it's fun to see how kids get so excited about bragging stuffs they have, telling stories about them to other people, even to a stranger like me. the organizers had some parlor games - the classice 'bring me' of which i only have 2 items amongst the many items they've asked for; the 'dress up ala zaiai' where Ate My participated; and the puzzle thing. Marie got disappointed 'coz he got there and the 5 kids ahead of the others but they were the ones who was cut off. so sad!! nways, we went home with no prices at all nor our brothers for the day, except for Marie's who solely danced. merienda was served after the games. at last! Gelo, my bro for the day, was starving already. i gave him mine as well since i'm pretty much still full. i just had him finish his food and get his ice cream and bade him goodbye. i gotta head off ahead of Marie and Ate My 'coz i gotta meet up my family and go to mass. nways, it's sad that i had to leave early. i hope i can go back there and visit Gelo again. Marie just filled me up of what happened afterwards which was more of Zai's bday celebration. To be continued...
