what a start of the day

i slept at past 2AM last night and woke up at 530AM. i was gonna take a bath when suddenly, the light bulb in our bathroom went 'puff!' it 'puffed' again for 2 more times and then it sparked! then fire started! ah! i panicked! i felt my heart beating so fast not being able to think what i should do to put off the small fire in the ceiling before it gets worse. good thing my brother rushed after the 3rd puffed and immediately turned off the circuit breaker. ah! i was lost for words! i can't even think of the words circuit breaker. all i did was point him towards where it is. my sister also woke up. my mom was at the kitchen and my other brother was fast asleep. i went outside the house looking for anything i can use to put it off. good thing that my brother was able to clear it with water. it was actually the plastic part of the bulb that went on fire after the connections inside of it puffed. it was scary. really really scary. i'm having a bit of trauma a few minutes after that. i was so paranoid when i was taking a bath and when i was putting on my sneakers and the monitor of my laptop lighten up because of the program i clicked, i kinda jumped off my seat! i only saw that something light up on my left peripheral vision so that's why i was jumpy. a similar incident happened though at my sister's bedroom just last month. good thing that it's a flourescent light connected to a metal frame and my youngest brother also get to turn off the switch right away.

moral of the story, never to buy and use cheap bulbs. cheap stuffs are oftentimes the cause of such accidents. i don't wanna experience that kind of thing ever. so scary. really really scary.

that happened to us recently. hehe. not to me though, but one of my housemates. basta pumutok na lang. that was weeks ago. and we still haven't replaced the bulb! haha. walang panahon. so now we use natural light. buti na lang medyo maliwanag. waah.. i'm blabbering. :D

my mom had it fixed today. she found someone to check it and good thing, it's only on the outside. the wiring inside the ceiling is unharmed. we bought a branded bulb now and will be changing the others as well.

NANI!!! That's awful!! *hugs* At least you are safe... Maybe you should replace all the bulbs in your house Je??? hmm??? That's so scary!!

we had the bulb in our bathroom replaced already. will be replacing the others over the weekend. we still need to get the person who fixed the one in the bathroom to fix the light on my sister's bedroom.
