Kim Hyun Joong confirmed to leave DSP Entertainment



For the past couple of months, there have been rumors circulating that SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong would leave his agency DSP Entertainment once his contract comes to an end.

Well, it’s been confirmed that this one is true after all.

A related source confirmed on the 28th, “Kim Hyun Joong has decided not to renew his contract with DSP Entertainment. … He will move to another agency.” It’s also been reported that Hyun Joong will enter Keyeast (키이스트), an agency known for its prominent actors including Bae Yong Joon, Park Ye Jin, Bong Tae Gyu, Lee Bo Young, Lee Na Young and Hwanhee, so it’s very likely that Hyun Joong’s career will take the acting route.

Due to Kim Hyun Joong’s decision to leave DSPE, there are now questions about the rest of the members of SS501. Many wonder if this will mark the end of SS501, or whether the rest of the members will follow the routes of Shinhwa and g.o.d and complete promotional activities together with Hyun Joong under different agencies.

Uncertainty in SS501's future

SS501's member Kim Hyun Joong recently signed with BYJ's Keyeast. In fact, he has already departed from the group SS501. SS501's management company DSP Entertainment's representative expressed that "after Kim Hyun Joong left SS501, it is still uncertain whether SS501 will continue with future activities."

i'm actually not surprise to learn this news. why? HJL's has been showing signs. i'm sad, yes, that's given. whether he'll continue participating with the other 4 members of SS501 as SS501, if the remaining 4 will sign up, or not, my heart still goes to SS501, or should it be SS401 now?! whatever! my heart goes to HJB, YS, JM & KJ and i support them as much as i have been supporting them right now.

HJL's my fave SS501 member, i respect & support his decision. i may not like it but it's his move for his betterment as an actor/artist. but i won't hide the fact that i'm disappointed and sad with HJL's decision. i wanna smack him if i can. i'm selfish; i want SS501 as five together as one. whatever Kim Hyun Joong! whatever! i know that no matter how i feel right now, i'd still support you. that's just who i am. and if it happens that you'll find a way to be with HJB, JM, KJ & YS again as SS501, if they'll sign up and continue as a group, then you're proving that your heart still goes to the group and all TRIPLE S's and that you really meant when you guys said 5 0 1 !

but please DSP, don't get any new member anymore! w/ or w/out HJL, SS501 with HJB, YS, KJ & JM will & CAN stand on their own.

SS501 Love Ya promotions has ended with effect from last week, June 13th. It’s a pity for Triple S that promotions were so short.

It felt like only yesterday when SS501 debuted through KMTV Show! Music Tank on June 8th, 2005. It has already been five years~

Like what all Triple S knows, SS501 members’ contracts had expired on June 7th, 2010.

During our preparations for this album, we had discussed about the length of promotions considering the contract expiry date. So we decided to keep promotions to within 2 – 3 weeks.

The SS501 members have not reached a conclusion regarding their future with the company. So we cannot give an official stand at the moment. We will announce their future once it has been finalized to Triple S.

We will produce a MV for the song Let Me Be The One from their Destination album, with footage from SS501 activities. It will be released in the middle of next week. We will announce a specific date in due time.

We are sorry for the short promotions and we hope that Triple S can soothe their feelings a little by enjoying the sight of SS501 in their Let Me Be The One MV.

We are really grateful to Triple S for helping SS501 to win the K-Chart twice.

why am i getting the feeling that they're not signing anymore and that they're gonna go on different directions? nah! their DESTINATION is to stick FOREVER!!! 5 0 1 ! ! ! i was anticipating their GMA appearance on the 26th only to learn that it's already uncertain. who's representing HJL now? B2ST's company? K-POP fandom makes me think that it's messier than J-POP, i mean, JOHNNY's.

it's my first time to greet him on his special day.
i know he won't be able to celebrate it with his family,
but at least,
he's with his brothers.
i hope he'll have a great day,
despite of feeling depress because of his Grandma's health.
