a pirates life for me
2011-May-24, Tuesday 09:28watched the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film, On Strangers Tide, last Monday with my sister
purple_cola . love it! yes, even without my Orlando Bloom, i still like the film. Johnny Depp once again prove that he's the one & only Capt. Jack Sparrow.
it started with a very funny scene where Capt. Jack posed as the main judge on a trial in which one of his old crew, Mr. Gibbs, is being tried for being 'Capt. Jack Sparrow.' the court insists that Mr. Gibbs is indeed Jack, who's currently in England, enlisting crew for his ship. apart from Mr. Gibbs, Capt. Hector Barbosa is also back but this time, he's no longer a pirate but a privateer. he's now a captain sailing under the flag of the Britsh government.
POTC-OST focuses on the journey in finding the fountain of youth. i've always think that POTC film is an adventure film and therefore with this on mind, POTC-OST has not fail me. it is truly an adventure-filled film, with lots of actions here and there. i laugh almost throughout the film. no boring moments at all.
so yeah, i enjoyed watching POTC-OST even my OB isn't there anymore. i miss him, of course. i'd still love to see him play a pirate. but POTC isn't only about him. yes, he is a part of it, but definitely not the main focus. whatever the reason why he isn't there anymore, it really saddens me. 'coz having him in the film is an added fact to make me like each film. nonetheless, POTC-OST isn't incomplete w/o him or Keira. the entire film is written for Jack. and Barbosa. hehe
i'm gonna cross my finger and hope that whatever it is that prevented OB to be on the next POTC, if there will be another one, will be flattened out. i still would want to see Will Turner grace the big screen once again, as much as i wanna see Capt. Jack Sparrow on another adventure. after all, he still needs to get that Black Pearl out of the bottle!
